Hello beauties,
In partnership with L'Occitane today I'm going to bring your a review of their Immortelle Divine collection. Promo Code: Free 6-piece Anti-Aging Gift with any $115 purchase. Use code GLOW. The products I'll be touching on today are:
IMMORTELLE DIVINE CLEANSING BALM
First lets touch on the Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm. This product is said to:
"The first cleansing ritual step of the Immortelle Divine range! The Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm effectively removes makeup and impurities while enveloping the skin in softness with its balm-in-oil texture. It melts deliciously on the skin to dissolve all types of makeup, even waterproof, without drying out the skin. Its balm texture transforms into an oil on contact with the skin, and melts on the face to provide comfort and suppleness. Enriched in Immortelle essential oil, known for its anti-aging properties, and Vitamin E, it leaves the skin looking smoother, clear and luminous" according to the L'Occitane website.
What I noticed: Removed my makeup perfectly including mascara and eye liner. It did not leave my skin feeling dry. This product did transform from a balm to an oil consistency. Simple to remove when adding water to the skin. No hard pressure needed to remove makeup with this product. Love that there is Vitamin E in this product, as someone with dry skin I really love oils in my skin care routine.
Is this product worth trying: Ingredients are good, product does what it says it's going to do, feels nice, makes the skin look nice, and does not break me out. Is it necessary for everyday use? No, I like to alternate using this product with other less expensive products since this one is pricey for a makeup remover balm.
Next we have the Immortelle Divine Foaming Cleansing Cream. This product is said to:
"The second cleansing ritual step of the Immortelle Divine range! The Immortelle Divine Foaming Cleansing Cream effectively removes makeup and impurities while enveloping the skin in comfort with its cream-in-foam texture. On contact with water, this rich cream transforms into a dense, generous foam. When applied to the face, it forms a "cushion" between the skin and the fingers, to cleanse the face without drying or damaging the skin. Easy to rinse, it effectively rids the skin of impurities. Enriched in Immortelle essential oil with anti-aging properties, the Immortelle Foaming Cleansing Cream helps to smooth and revitalize the skin. Perfectly cleansed, the skin regains a feeling of suppleness, looks clearer, feels fresh and glows with beauty. The skin looks clear from impurities, makeup, and traces of pollution. Skin feels fresh and appears more radiant" according to the L'Occitane website.
What I noticed: Love that this cleanser does foam when water is added. I need my cleansers to foam to feel like I'm getting a good clean. This product helped to remove any additional makeup that might have still been present after removal. For dry skin this is a nice cleanser. It has a nice creamy consistency and does not strip the skin.
Is this product worth trying: Yes, I do think this product is a decent price, great quality, does what it says it's going to do, and leaves feel my skin feeling cleansed and fresh.
Now lets get to the big guy, Immortelle Divine Youth Oil. This product is said to:
"NEW FORMULA! Reveal a youthful glow with organic Immortelle essential oil. The Immortelle Divine Youth Oil helps fight visible signs of aging for a skin texture that appears replenished, as if plumped from within" according to the L'Occitane website.
What I noticed: This oil is wonderful, if you have dry skin. I would not recommend an oil for someone with very oily skin. Although I do still recommend using a moisturizer in general as that can help balance the skin. My skin is dry and loves oils. This oil is lightweight, sinks into the skin quickly, does not make me break out, and does leave the skin with an overall glowy, healthy, complexion.
Is this product worth trying: With a price tag like $99 you're going to need to be sure this product is for you. If you have severely dry skin and do not feel like your moisturizers are doing enough for you I think you'd benefit from an oil. This specific oil has amazing ingredients and over time you will notice a change in your skin's texture due to those ingredients and your skin being more moisturized.
On to the Immortelle Divine Eye. This product is said to:
"Our Immortelle Divine Eyes helps to fight the visible signs of aging and enhance the beauty of your eyes better than ever before. This fresh, creamy eye gel helps smooth the appearance fine lines and visibly reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. It combines the organic Immortelle essential oil, rich in active molecules that deliver unique anti-aging beauty results, with a complex of active ingredients from natural origin" according to the L'Occitane website.
What I noticed: My under-eye area appears to be much more hydrated. I've noticed a difference in the way my concealer applies and the brightness of my eye area. I have not experienced an reaction to this product in terms of bumps in the area. However, the fragrance in this specific product does irritate my eyes a bit. I've been using is exclusively at night for that reason. The fragrance in every product in this range is noticeable so if you are sensitive please be sure to patch test your skin.
Is this product worth trying: I do think for an eye cream this product is not out of line with a $79 price tag. This is not uncommon for anti-aging eye creams and with the ingredients in this product I do think it's worth trying. I would of course be aware of the fragrance but I am happy with the results I've seen and thrilled I have not seen any milia bumps.
Last but not least, Immortelle Divine Cream. This product is said to:
"Our best-selling, award-winning Immortelle Divine Cream helps fight visible signs of aging. With a 5th patent pending*, the luxurious, yet miraculously lightweight Divine Cream is now better than ever. It combines the organic Immortelle essential oil, rich in molecules that deliver unique anti-aging beauty results, with a complex of 7 ingredients of natural origin to give skin the youthful, radiant glow you've always wanted * In France" according to the L'Occitane website.
What I noticed: My skin is much more hydrated than before using this cream. I've noticed a more overall radiant appearance, which is a lot for me since I have such dry skin. I do have the a few lines on my skin, on my forehead, around my mouth, and neck. I have not noticed my lines have disappeared however, I have noticed my makeup has been sitting better on my skin since it is more hydrated and there is less settling because of that.
Is this product worth trying: I too think $110 is a lot to spend on a moisturizer. You'll really have to think about what YOU need for your skin and what you can realistically spend on skin care. This moisturizer does preform differently than a less expensive moisturizers but to be realistic not everyone can purchase a prestige moisturizer like this one. If you're in the market for an anti-aging cream and have dry skin this one is working well for me.
No makeup. Just after cleansing and doing my skin care routine. No filter!
I DO HAVE MAKEUP ON IN THIS PHOTO. Good makeup starts with good skin. No filter.
I have noticed a difference in my skin since using this product. More hydrated, more radiant, better texture, and my makeup has gone on better which is extremely important to me. These products are prestige and will cost much more than other products on the market. L'Occitane is a gorgeous brand that creates outstanding products. You have to take a look at your skin and determine what you need, want, and can splurge on.
According to the L'Occitane website this is their description of the Immortelle Divine range:
"ANTI-AGING

This powerful combination helps to fight visible signs of aging, giving skin the youthful, radiant glow you've always wanted.
