Drugstore Dupes | Cheeks, Lips, & Eyes
Hello beauties,
Happy Friday :) who is ready for the weekend? I know I am! I'm excited to bring you my first ever dupes video/blog post today. If you have ever tried to search for a dupe I'm sure you've also found it's pretty difficult. I was able to find some cheek, lips, and eye dupes for you guys. While editing my video I decided to edit out my explanation of the a product I thought might have been a dupe. My Tarte Blush in Dollface and Hard Candy Fox in a Box in Spicy & Sweet did look like a dupe in swatches and on my cheeks in person. However, I found while editing that they looks different on camera.
First dupe is a little up for debate because mascara performs so differently on everyone's lashes. For me the Maybelline The Rocket Mascara ($8.00) and the Benefit They're Real Mascara ($23.00) look exactly the same on my lashes. The Benefit They're Real does have longer staying power and is actually a little difficult to take off while Maybelline The Rocket does have amazing staying power but does come off easier with makeup remover.
Moving on to my favorite of more favorites, lippies. I'm extremely happy with all of these lip dupes I've found. First lip dupe is MAC Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick and Wet N' Wild Pinkerbell. Second is NARS Audacious Lipstick in Angela and Maybelline Orchid Ecstasy. Third is Butter London Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayon in Primrose Hill Picnic and Milani Rose Hip lipstick.
When swatching these lip colors on the hand they might not look like exact dupes however, once they are applied to the lips they look and feel the same. The Butter London one may have a little more moisture and look a little more glossy but they are so similar I'd consider them dupes.
Milani Lipstick $4.99 & Butter London $20.00
This is a dupe makes me so excited about because MAC Vivia Glam Nicki was limited edition and a lip color I constantly getting compliments on. Wet N' Wild Lipsticks are so inexpensive and have a wonderful formula. If you are not a fan of this vibrant pink I recommend trying their lipsticks out.
Wet N' Wild Lipstick $1.99 & MAC Lipsticks $17.00
This dupe might have the largest price difference and was the biggest shock. I've been a big fan of the NARS Audacious Lipsticks the moment I tried them but with a price tag of more than $30, it's a splurge product. The formulas of these dupes are not similar. The NARS is more pigmented, has a longer staying power, and is not that shiny or glossy. While Maybelline Orchid Ecstasy is a little more sheer with one application the colors look exactly the same on the lips.
Maybelline $4.99 & NARS Audacious Lipstick $32.00
First face dupe I have here is the NYX e/s In Cotton Candy and MAC Pro Longwear Eyeshadow in Pink Frontier. I use these products as highlighter on the top of my cheek bones. These shadows don't look like exact dupes swatches but on the skin there is no difference at all and ultimately the products are meant to be applied and worn on the skin.
NYX eyeshadows $4.99 and MAC Pro Longwear e/s $28
Covergirl blush in 150 Pretty Peach and Benefit Bella Bamba blush are extremely similar in look and finish. They both have a satin shine. The Covergirl does look a little more coral and the Benefit is a little more pink.
Covergirl $4.99 and Benefit $28.00
Hope you guys enjoy these dupes I've found for you :) I hope you save some cash but also find a new product to love. Thank you for stopping by my blog.
