Butter London Shadow Clutch Palette Review

Hello beauties,

I've been fortunate enough to try many of Butter London's new releases. They recently released two new Shadow Clutch palettes retailed for $39.00 and four duos retailing at $15.00 and are sold at Ulta, Ulta.com, and Butterlondon.com. The palette is filled with six shadows (0.24oz/each) and they can be replaced by the duos sold separately. The palette I have is Natural Charm and the two duos I have are Fancy Flutter and Moody Blues.

If the duos didn't come packaged in little boxes of their own I would be worried about storing them in my makeup drawers fortunately, each duo is packaged in a little boxed drawer container. This will make for easy transfer of the shadows back and forth between the palette and the boxes.

The Shadow Clutch palette is a great size and offers a great sized mirror. The shadows do also come with shadows names on each individual shadow. It seems like a simple thing but I love when brands place the names on the palette or on the shadows themselves. It makes for easier direction when filming and explaining the shades. The palette also features a double ended brush.

For this look I started by placing Camel in the crease of the eye. Then went in with Leather to build up intensity on the outer corner. I used a little Linen to highlight the brow bone. Fourth step I went in with Citrine right on the lid. I then used Plume smoke out the lower lash line and on the lid to blend Citrine with the darker shades on the outer corner. I also used a little of sequins on the lower lash line.

There are is one other palette available in Pretty Proper and two other duos in Up All Night and Sassy Pants. Currently there is a sale on the Ulta website. If you purchase one palette you get a duo for free with purchase.

Like many of the other Butter London products I have tried. I am extremely impressed with these shadows. They are pigmented, blendable, last well on the lid throughout the day, not chalky or powdery, and the shades are gorgeous. I did wear these shadows for 13+ hours with little to no creasing or fading (I did use an eyeshadow primer as I always do).

Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are and which of the two palettes you prefer. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.
